A major plant that provides Chrysler with over 100,000 parts was honored by the automaker.
The TI Automotive Plant was presented with the 2013 Chrysler Quality Supplier of the Year award. According to Hillsdale.net, the plant has been operating at amazing levels since Paula Miller took over as plant manager three years ago. When she arrived, the plant only had 20 employees on a single shift. Now the shifts have increased to three shifts and the plant is supplying the parts to the Chrysler 200 and Jeep Cherokee.
Miller accepted the award for the whole plant and thanked the workers. "This is really a special day for us," she said. She told the employees that it was their hard work and dedication that made it all possible.

Chrysler Group Wins Big at Texas Auto Roundup
At the recent Texas Auto Roundup in Fort Worth, Chrysler
Group walked away with a total of six awards for their Dodge, SRT, and Chrysler
brands.
The Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) gave away a total
of 19 awards at the Texas Auto Roundup, so with six awards, Chrysler took home
nearly a third of the available awards and more awards than any other
manufacturer. The 2014 Dodge Dart won Compact Car of Texas. The 2014 Jeep Cherokee
SRT won Performance Utility Vehicle of Texas. Chrysler took the most with the
2015 Chrysler 200 winning Mid-size Sedan of Texas, the 2014 Town & Country
winning Minivan of Texas, the 2014 Chrysler 300 winning Full-size Sedan of
Texas, and 2014 Town & Country winning Family Car of Texas.
Michael Marrs, President of TAWA, explained why the Texas
Auto Roundup was a great venue for the vehicles, saying, “This event allows us
to experience manufacturers’ products in a first-hand comparison. The design,
capability and versatility of Chrysler Group products really stood out among
the competition.”
Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales at Chrysler Group, thanked
TAWA for the honor, calling the six wins “a testament to our hard work this
year.”
“We continue to improve our vehicle lineup,” Bigland stated,
“and we’re pleased that TAWA gave our brands their vote of confidence once
again.”

11.1 Percent Sales Rise Estimated for Chrysler in March
March is wrapping up, and even before the final sales
numbers are announced, it seems that Chrysler will be celebrating a very good
month.
Edmunds is estimating that Chrysler will have an 11.1
percent sales rise in March 2014 compared to March 2013, and the unit sales for
Chrysler are estimated to reach 190,684. While other automakers have struggled
for a 1 percent or 4 percent gain, Chrysler is one of the few automakers to get
a double-digit sales percentage rise.
It is especially surprising that Chrysler has performed this
month, considering that March 2014 only had 26 selling days, and March 2013 had
27 selling days.
The sales numbers for the month of March put Chrysler in
close competition with Toyota who sold 207,531 units. Unlike Chrysler, however,
Toyota did not have a substantial rise in sales compared to March 2013, only a
1.1 percent rise compared to Chrysler’s 11.1 percent rise.

Chrysler Sweepstakes Winner Chooses 2014 Ram 2500
On Monday, Chrysler announced that Lofton Tanner Harmon of
Saint George, Utah had won the 2013 National Sweepstakes and the grand prize,
$45,000 credit towards a Chrysler Group vehicle of his choice.
More than 945,000 drivers from across the country entered
the sweepstakes, and while the winner was chosen in January, it wasn’t

Harmon decided to use his $45,000 credit toward a 2014 Ram
2500, saying he “fell in love” with the truck. In the press release from
Chrysler, he is quoted as saying, “My family and I are always at the local
rodeos, taking camping trips and my father is a construction worker, so the
4-wheel-drive capability really appealed to me and the needs of my family.”
The next year-long Chrysler Group National Giveaway has
already begun, and this time next year, another lucky winner will be receiving
a $45,000 credit towards a Chrysler Group vehicle. Complete rules and details

Chrysler Has Best Sales for 2013 Since Bailout
2009 was a dark year for Chrysler company. Things were bleak and it was looking like one of the biggest American auto manufacturers was about to go under. Declaring bankruptcy seemed like the end until the government stepped in and get the auto maker alive by providing a much needed bailout. While controversial for the time, and still is to others, the bailout did provide Chrysler the time it needed to turn things around. In just a few short years, Chrysler had managed to increase their sales and is looking a lot better than those darker times. In fact, 2013 was the strongest year for Chrysler sales since the bailout.
Chrysler thanked the strong US sales of their Ram pickups and Jeep Grand Cherokee for the added boost. Both vehicles have been met with much popularity and in particular the Ram 1500, which was recently named the 'Truck of Texas.' While it's too soon to tell, the newly revamped and re released Jeep Cherokee also provided much help as drivers have taken a strong liking to the new design and reliability found only in Jeep products.

Ram 1500 Wins Truck of the Year!
The Ram 1500 has earned the Motor Trend 2014 Truck of the Year.
Nine trucks were in the finals for getting the award. The judges took a look at trucks that were either new or significantly upgraded this year. That included the Ram 1500, the Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Tundra, and the new Ram ProMaster van, nine trucks total. Before the end, each of them were put through extensive tests and exercises.
The testing took place at the Continental Tire Automotive Proving Grounds in Uvalde, Texas. The evaluation took over a week to complete and took a look at qualities such as acceleration and towing. After seeing all the criteria, it was the Ram 1500 that stood triumphant over the competition .
The announcement of the award was given at the birthplace of the Ram truck, the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan. The full breakdown as to how the Ram 1500 did in the test will be revealed in the February issue of Motor Trend as well as on their website.
?For 2014 we had a large and highly competitive field of contenders for Motor Trend?s Truck of the Year,? said Edward Loh, Editor-in-Chief of Motor Trend. ?At the end of the day, though, the Ram 1500 quickly rose to the top. Not only did it withstand our rigorous testing, it thoroughly impressed our judges with its vast array of standard and optional equipment, and, most notable, its fuel-efficient, segment-exclusive EcoDiesel V-6. With 420 lb-ft of torque and up to 28 ?Real MPG? highway, the EcoDiesel is a true game-changer. In fact it helped make Ram 1500 the Motor Trend 2014 Truck of the Year ? and the only consecutive winner in the history of the award.?
Winning the Motor Trend Truck of the Year award is a big deal. The Ram 1500 has been grabbing up the trophies left and right and making it clear that Ram is poised to make a big splash with the new Ram 1500 in the hearts of truck lovers everywhere.

Chrysler Donates to Aid Colorado Flooding Response Efforts
The real measure of a person is not only asking for charity and help, but what you do in response to someone asking the same of you. A few years ago, Chrysler declared bankruptcy and turned to the American people for aid and help was given. Since then, the auto company has been turning their business around. However, communities all across the country are in dire need of help for various reason. One such place is in Colorado where the recent flooding has wrecked havoc. Chrysler is giving back by providing support to the hard working teams struggling to cope in Colorado.
Chrysler Foundation, the charity arm of Chrysler LLC, donated $50,000 to the First Response Team of America. The group is a non-profit disaster relief organization that is currently engaged in Colorado to help clear and rebuild destroyed roads. This donation will allow the work they are doing to continue for more weeks to come.
"Helping communities hard hit by natural disasters is the social responsibility that we embrace as a brand," said Jason Stoicevich, Head of FIAT Brand for North America, Chrysler Group LLC. "We hope that The Chrysler Foundation's support will help to bring prompter relief to the affected areas in Colorado and to the families that call the Centennial State home."
Chrysler and the First Response Team of America have a long relationship together. This past May, when Oklahoma was struck by the devastating tornadoes, it was the First Response Team of America that lent aid to the state. Chrysler, in turn, helped the group by donating $100,000 to their cause.
