I am always a strong supporter of when companies find new ways of giving back to people. Just in time for the upcoming holidays, Chrysler is looking to make sure that plenty of disadvantaged kids can still find themselves celebrating this year by donating to the Marine Toys For Tots. The way the program will work is that the Chrysler Group's LLC's Mid-Atlantic Business Center will be offering a $750 incentive to customers who are looking to get a 2011 or 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, Town & Country, or Journey. The Chrysler Group will donate $100 for each car sold. The dealers on the Mid-Atlantic region from Delaware to West Virginia are being encouraged to equal the donation and even be a drop-off point for the toys.
“Our dealers are deeply rooted in their communities, “ says Steve Zanlunghi, the director of the Mid-Atlantic Business Center, “and this is a good time and a good way for our company and our dealers to give back to the communities that support us. Toys for Tots is a perfect charity partner for us, and our dealer distribution network. It's a great way for us to give back to those fortunate, especially during this time of the year.”
With the hope that they will be able to raise thousands of dollars this holiday season, it's a wonderful thing to see Chrysler out there to help people who have fallen on terrible times in this economic climate. I'm not the only one who thinks that and so does Bill Grein the Vice President of Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. He says of Chrysler that “their community service goals certainly align with those of that the Marine Corps has promoted for nearly 65 years through our Toys for Tots programs. With their generous support, we will be able to fulfill the Christmas holiday dreams of thousands of less-fortunate children in the Mid-Atlantic region.”
