Chrysler Sales Strong in March Thanks to Strong Truck Demand

There comes a time every month to wonder if Chrysler still has it in them to enjoy another good month of sales. It got to the point where instead of wondering how well the company had done, it was now a question of when the floor would drop out. Well, looks like March is not that month.

Thanks to a big demand for trucks, Chrysler had a great March. In fact, the US auto sales had their highest monthly total since August 2007.

Now, March tends to be a pretty good month for the auto industry. This is because people are starting to get their tax refunds back and use the extra money as a down payment. Also, the Japanese fiscal year ends in March and they tend to give out some great deals to end on a high note.

March also had many factors as to why people would be out and buying. Many businesses simply needed to replace aging models as they head into the spring time. Americans seeking unemployment fell to a five-year low in March. Not only that, but interest rates are still low while home values are starting to rise.

All of these went into making sure that Chrysler keeps their smile for the month of March.  If you're in the market for a truck, need something to shuttle the family back and forth, or a means to get to work, stop by Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge in the Queens area.  We offer top-notch customer service.  We love to say yes!  Follow us on Facebook and on Twitter to view our monthly service and parts specials.

Jeep Wrangler and Ram 1500 Awarded by US News and World Report

The Jeep Wrangler has become a sort of magnet when it comes to attracting awards. I think it is a testament to the quality put into it. Otherwise, the Jeep Wrangler wouldn't always be on the minds of buyers and car enthusiasts alike. This time, the award is from US News and World Report for the “2012 Best Off-Road SUV for the Money.” That's not all, however, as they also have an award for “2012 Best Full-Size Pickup Truck for the Money” and that honor went to the Ram 1500.

“The Ram Truck brand is meeting the needs and expectations of our customers with the best trucks in the market,” said Ram CEO Fred Diaz of the news. “U.S. News and World Report's 2012 Best Full-Size Pickup Truck for the Money award is a powerful, independent accolade, standing as an endorsement for the 2012 Ram 1500 and its value for the money.”

These awards are the consensus of opinion held by both industry experts and reviewers. It looks at outstanding value and availability of features that a buyer would want in an everyday car. The awards focus on 23 different categories and include cars, trucks, minivans, and SUVs. The awards are a combination of scores from US News car rankings with five-year total cost of average price data and ownership.

“Jeep Wrangler has set seven consecutive monthly sales records. The new 2012 Wrangler offers consumers more value and appeal than ever before, with improved fuel efficiency and everyday driving dynamics, more power and even more legendary Jeep capability, “says Mike Manley, the CEO of Jeep.

I believe the Jeep Wrangler needs to get some extra shelf space installed for the all the awards and accolades it has been piling up with every magazine's and website's end of the year awards. Even better, some of that love is being shown to the hard-working team at Ram and their efforts to make Ram the best trucks out on the streets.

Ram's Has The Best Residual Rates!

Ram wants some truth to be known. Residual rates are a very important thing to the Ram Brand. To have lower lease payments and better resale value means to have high residual rates. Ram trucks have always been of the highest quality with their capability and durability, not to mention their workmanship that's second to none. To that end, Ram has the most outstanding residual values due to these attributes. Rams' retail and commercial customers have seen this important total cost of ownership advantage and so have leading companies that specialize in automotive residual values. The Ram 1500 has unsurpassed residuals. The Ram 1500 Crew has a higher residual rate than Ford or Chevy has to offer. Then there's the Ram 1500 Quad, its outdoorsman and express residuals also beat out anything that Ford or Chevy has to offer. Ram only deals in the best, and it's residual values are the best results.

To see a full selection of Ram's offers and for their best deals, visit Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge online and follow them on Facebook and Twitter.

Chrysler Sponsor of 78th McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade

2010 Kenneth the Blue Elf - JB (7)

In just a little under a week, Chicago will be holding their 78th McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade. As a part of that, Chrysler is proud to announce that it is now a vehicle sponsor for the parade. That means Chrysler vehicles will be giving all the floats and even Santa himself a ride on November 24th. They have given 27 vehicles to the parade and its organizers. Among the vehicles being used to pull the floats are the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ram 1500, and the Dodge Durango. All of these cars are award winners and will be showing that top-of-the-line towing first-hand. Another car being shown off will be the newly redesigned Chrysler 200 convertible which will be the car of choice for the celebrities and dignitaries being shown off in the parade.

Jeff Kommor, Chrysler Midwest Business Center Director, says that, “Getting the opportunity to share in this time-honored Thanksgiving Day tradition is a real privilege for the Chrysler Group.” He added, “We are especially excited to see Santa increase the power of his ride from eight reindeer to the HEMI V8 in the Jeep Grand Cherokee at the end of the parade.”

Phil Purevich, Executive Director of the Chicago Festival Association thanked Chrysler for, “Generously providing vehicles for use in the parade, including transportation for many staff and volunteers working hard to make this even happen.” Chrysler will also be featuring one vehicle from each of its brands to show off during the parade. That includes a list of fine vehicles like the Dodge Challenger, the Jeep Wrangler, Ram 1500, Chrysler 300, and the Fiat 500.

Thanksgiving parades are always a yearly highlight for not only myself but for many people. To see the good folks over at Chrysler provide a helping hand (and car) to the organizers and to the parade itself is wonderful. It's a real good chance to not only give back but to also show to the world why Chrysler provides some of the best rides out there.

To see the complete selection Chrysler has to offer you can see more details at Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge or follow them online on Facebook and Twitter.

New Ram Trucks Will Make First Appearance at Texas State Fair

Friday is the kick-off for the Texas State Fair, and fair attendees will get a special first look at some of Ram's new trucks.

Ram will be unveiling several models of the 2012 Ram 1500 pickup truck including the Ram 1500 Tradesman Heavy Duty and the Ram 1500 Express Picture. The 2012 Ram 1500 Tradesman Heavy Duty will not be available until next year, so fair-goers will get a chance to see the new models before the rest of the country.

The Texas State Fair is no stranger to auto showcases. Their auto show, according to the Texas State Fair website, has been a favorite part of the fair since 1904 when they hosted Dallas' very first auto show. In 1989, they expanded their space to 300,000 square feet spanning two buildings and an additional outdoor area.

The auto show starts Friday, September 30 and runs through Sunday, October 23. Even if you don't live in Texas, though, you can find out more about the 2012 Ram 1500 by stopping by Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge at 212-19 Northern Boulevard in Bayside, New York. You can also check them out on Facebook or Twitter.
