Jeep Wrangler and Ram 1500 Awarded by US News and World Report

The Jeep Wrangler has become a sort of magnet when it comes to attracting awards. I think it is a testament to the quality put into it. Otherwise, the Jeep Wrangler wouldn't always be on the minds of buyers and car enthusiasts alike. This time, the award is from US News and World Report for the “2012 Best Off-Road SUV for the Money.” That's not all, however, as they also have an award for “2012 Best Full-Size Pickup Truck for the Money” and that honor went to the Ram 1500.

“The Ram Truck brand is meeting the needs and expectations of our customers with the best trucks in the market,” said Ram CEO Fred Diaz of the news. “U.S. News and World Report's 2012 Best Full-Size Pickup Truck for the Money award is a powerful, independent accolade, standing as an endorsement for the 2012 Ram 1500 and its value for the money.”

These awards are the consensus of opinion held by both industry experts and reviewers. It looks at outstanding value and availability of features that a buyer would want in an everyday car. The awards focus on 23 different categories and include cars, trucks, minivans, and SUVs. The awards are a combination of scores from US News car rankings with five-year total cost of average price data and ownership.

“Jeep Wrangler has set seven consecutive monthly sales records. The new 2012 Wrangler offers consumers more value and appeal than ever before, with improved fuel efficiency and everyday driving dynamics, more power and even more legendary Jeep capability, “says Mike Manley, the CEO of Jeep.

I believe the Jeep Wrangler needs to get some extra shelf space installed for the all the awards and accolades it has been piling up with every magazine's and website's end of the year awards. Even better, some of that love is being shown to the hard-working team at Ram and their efforts to make Ram the best trucks out on the streets.

Ram's Has The Best Residual Rates!

Ram wants some truth to be known. Residual rates are a very important thing to the Ram Brand. To have lower lease payments and better resale value means to have high residual rates. Ram trucks have always been of the highest quality with their capability and durability, not to mention their workmanship that's second to none. To that end, Ram has the most outstanding residual values due to these attributes. Rams' retail and commercial customers have seen this important total cost of ownership advantage and so have leading companies that specialize in automotive residual values. The Ram 1500 has unsurpassed residuals. The Ram 1500 Crew has a higher residual rate than Ford or Chevy has to offer. Then there's the Ram 1500 Quad, its outdoorsman and express residuals also beat out anything that Ford or Chevy has to offer. Ram only deals in the best, and it's residual values are the best results.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Wins Drive's 4WD of the Year

Chalk up another win for the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The latest victory for the popular Jeep vehicle comes from Drive, an Australian automotive guide. The Grand Cherokee was named Drive's best 4WD of the year, managing to take the crown from the returning champion of the Land Rover Discovery 4 SE. From the sounds of it, the judges were very impressed overall from the entire package that the jeep had to offer.

One judge remarked of the Grand Cherokee “It's now pretty good. They've fixed the interrior, and it doesn't have that plastic garden furniture feel to it any more.” Among the features that they were enjoyed was the rain-sensing wipers, the auto headlights, tire pressure monitoring system, and even a full-color touchscreen with Bluetooth. All these amazing features and the Jeep still manages to capture a value of 50k (EU). Other features that earned their mention was the safety package that the Grand Cherokee has with seven airbags.

One last part that definitely had the judges talking was the improvement of driving the Grand Cherokee. As one judge noted the Grand Cherokee is “good to punt along the road.” The website and judges singled out how quiet the driving was and just how reasonably direct the steering was considering that this is an off-road jeep.

The judges really saw the value in the car. They appreciated that Jeep was still offering a fantastic package with a reasonable price. The interior was impressive to them, taking note that it really was an improvement and didn't have “that plastic garden furniture feel to it any more.”

The Jeep Grand Cherokee definitely hit a note with the judges. They walked away liking every aspect it had. Ranging from the price to the way it drove off-road, they were fans of the jeep. It's hard not to see why it's such a good vehicle. To learn more about the Jeep Grand Cherokee or to get one for yourself you can visit Bayside online or follow them on Facebook or Twitter.
