Chrysler Donates to Aid Colorado Flooding Response Efforts

The real measure of a person is not only asking for charity and help, but what you do in response to someone asking the same of you.  A few years ago, Chrysler declared bankruptcy and turned to the American people for aid and help was given.  Since then, the auto company has been turning their business around.  However, communities all across the country are in dire need of help for various reason.  One such place is in Colorado where the recent flooding has wrecked havoc.  Chrysler is giving back by providing support to the hard working teams struggling to cope in Colorado.

Chrysler Foundation, the charity arm of Chrysler LLC, donated $50,000 to the First Response Team of America.  The group is a non-profit disaster relief organization that is currently engaged in Colorado to help clear and rebuild destroyed roads.  This donation will allow the work they are doing to continue for more weeks to come.

"Helping communities hard hit by natural disasters is the social responsibility that we embrace as a brand," said Jason Stoicevich, Head of FIAT Brand for North America, Chrysler Group LLC. "We hope that The Chrysler Foundation's support will help to bring prompter relief to the affected areas in Colorado and to the families that call the Centennial State home."

Chrysler and the First Response Team of America have a long relationship together.  This past May, when Oklahoma was struck by the devastating tornadoes, it was the First Response Team of America that lent aid to the state.  Chrysler, in turn, helped the group by donating $100,000 to their cause.

  1. This is such great news. It's good to see a major manufacturer like Chrysler giving back to the community. Looks like Chrysler's got some good karma going around them. I've always thought Chrysler jeep had excellent service and this just reinforces that.
